This week's topic: Living in a Real Life Comic Book World. We explore the world of tabloids, aliens, conspiracies and more to bring people up to speed about things that some people believe to be as true as real life, with convictions as real as any religious movement. The strange, unusual, fantastic world that comic books inhabit, thus what it must be like to live in such a world. For people in the Real Life Superhero/Supervillain communities, it should be interesting to talk about. Possibly one part of a multi-part show.
I've been looking into various topics as of late, feeling the boredom and tedium of the ordinary spurred me on. There are people who believe that they do in fact have super abilities in this world, but what of other strangeness normally relegated to the tabloids or fictional worlds of comic books, pulp novels and others? People have heard of alien encounters, but did you know there are many types of aliens, the most evil having a hierarchy far above the Greys reported of in abduction stories? And which ones may be responsible, by some accounts, for genetically engineering humanity as a slave race?
Or how about the theory that we are not alone on this world, that there are beings who live within the Earth, warmed by an internal and smaller sun, a race of giants? Beings who are at the heart of a belief that the Earth is hollow, the home of Shambhala, a network of tunnels that allow UFO's to fly from one point to another with greater speed? Or how about the fact that the Nazis sought these beings, and Admiral Byrd of the U.S. had encountered them?
With talk of 2012 being the supposed end of an era and possibly the beginning of a new one, I wanted to bring up a topic of people that believe these stories, and if so many believe, is there something to it? Tune into Creature Feature this Saturday the 13'th at 11 PM EST.
You're being watched. And Krampus has been doing it since before spies and governments have been doing so.

Who wants to be a Real Life Super-Zombie?
Zombies, monsters, gore, horror conventions, and other monstrosities that I associate with. Ahh, 'tis the unofficial beginnings of the Season of Krampus. Entertainment, some better than others, dominates the airwaves and video players this weekend, all winding down to All Hallow's Day, November first. But now my roommate has called my attention to a possibility that interests me, and I'm sure others as well.
You see, tonight was the premier of AMC's series The Walking Dead. And perhaps this should have been obvious, but a promotion has been created for this series. Based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel series, the show follows survival in a world full of the hungry animated dead. 'Twas also a weekend of informative series delving into the truths and origins behind such legends.
Case in point, before the age of Romero films and even the practitioners of Voodoo, tales of the undead go back to the times of legends and history. Vampires, Ghouls, Dybbuks, even Revenants go back to a curse spoken by Ishtar(the goddess, not that horrible fucking movie) to her sister Ereshkigal:
I shall raise up the dead and they shall eat the living.
I shall make the dead outnumber the living.
Goddesses, am I right? Some actually had style back in the old days. But, I digress. It had come to my attention that each week, a secret code word will be flashed during the show, then contestants get to crash servers scrambling to a website to enter the code. Six winners will be chosen for filming in season 2 of the series, treated to a three day weekend of lodgings, food and transportation, and being made up as a zombie for the series, which MAY or MAY NOT even make it on air. You see? It helps to read the official rules.
Of course, it also says only one winner can be claimed per household, so 'twould seem my roommate and I will have to alternate between nights of entry, giving each of us an equal chance for winning the prize. And Krampus thought he would mention this to my dearest, loyal readers. Also those who wish to follow my musings without joining my follower list. Krampus minds not, the more fans the merrier. But it raises an interesting question.
Now normally, Krampus would not wish to lower himself to the status of a lower Revenant. But for a chance to spread the fame of Krampus and Creature Feature? Who knows? This could be quite the opportunity to one day attend horror conventions as an appreciated guest, not just a patron. Ahh, the chance to sit at a table adjacent to Elvira or Ms. Monster...Mmmmm. Not a bad gig if one can get it.
Where was I? Oh yes, the question.
If you had the chance to win such an opportunity as to be zombiefied on The Walking Dead, would you wish to be just another anonymous animated automaton? Or would you wish to plead with the producers and artists to have your superhuman persona done up as a zombie? With Marvel Zombies and Black Lantern heroes and villains made famous in DC Comics, super zombies have become quite popular. And contests notwithstanding, do you think you'd like to take an old, ripped or damaged/stained version of your uniform, add some blood(real or fake is optional) and make yourself up as an undead form of your persona, would you do so? Think about it, chime in.
I intend to drag out the Halloween spirit as long as possible. After all, The Simpsons and Family Guy's Halloween shows have been delayed until next week due to the World Series. Also next week shall be the longest night, as we revert Daylight Saving Time back to normal once again, gaining our extra hour for debauchery or sleep back. And if it's good enough for Fox, their fans and farmers, then 'tis good enough for Krampus!
Oh, some of you may be wondering where is the link to the show and contest? Simple: GET YOUR OWN FUCKING LINK! The less of you that enter, the greater the odds that Krampus shall be immortalized in ways the lesser masses in the communities shall never be. And to those of us that do, may the best Krampus win.

An ode to a supervillain/I LOVE being right.
Once again, Krampus cackled like a madman inhaling Joker toxin at the end of a motion picture. More than that, this post marking my 66'th post(50'th and 100'th celebrations are so overdone as to be boring), I tip my cap to the final chapter of a supervillain that earned many a people's respect, if not their dollars. I'm talking of course of John Kramer, better known as Jigsaw.
When the first movie of the Saw series premiered, it was imaginative, so ripe, so full of invention for the torture porn genre. To describe the film was to say imagine the deathtraps of a comic book supervillain brought to life in the real world's setting. The machinations and mental gymnastics of an engineer, twists of fate and a renewed vigor to survive created the back story for someone we barely knew in the first film, being expanded upon in sequels.
The second and third films were the creations of the original team that brought it to life, Krampus was willing to give Saw 4 a chance, then 5 began to show its wear. By Saw 6, a motion picture that a reality show contest was held to earn a place in the film, many felt as if the franchise were on life support, and some were wishing to mercifully pull the plug on it, to remember it in its prime and let it die with dignity.
Finally, we have Saw 3D, or Saw 7 for those locations not showing the bloody film in 3D. Spring for some red and blue glasses, you cheap fuck splatters. All in all, a welcome finale' to the film. Some traps and challenges were obviously meant for little to no survival, others still had shown imagination. And thanks to the magic of motion pictures, we get to see one character die in the film, not once but twice! Very well done. And not to ruin anything for the fans, but the person that carried on the legacy of John Kramer was unworthy, and met a fitting finale of their own.
And the reason I was cackling like a madman? It's quite simple, as well as utterly delicious. Krampus was right, ladies and gentlemen. Let me say that again:
Krampus.
Was.
RIGHT.
Ahh, what pleasure. You see, recently an old jousting opponent of mine in the blogosphere had pointed out my posting on the blogspot page of a Saw 3D tie-in, complete with fake profiles of the survivors. But what was pleasantly displayed at the end was something that Krampus had suspected years ago, was mentioned elsewhere in the aether regarding Saw, and the words that Krampus was mocked for were revealed to be prophetic. I won't ruin anything with spoilers here, but should you wish to, see my below blog's link and investigate for yourselves. But let it be known...Krampus was right.
In this community of role players, wannabe's and poseurs, it almost pains me to know that unless laws are truly broken and the mantle of vigilante or sociopath earned, none will ever reach the fame or infamy of a fictitious supervillain like John Kramer. Of course, there are those that try.
In many cases, more sensational crime stories are withheld from some larger news outlets and left for pulp stories, detective and true crime magazines. Why? Some don't want to release the gory details on the news. Still others are afraid that such stories would be sensationalized, spawning copycats and instigating a crime spree the likes of which are relegated to fiction, or the stuff of nightmares.
It is the belief of Krampus that it is just a matter of time before someone associated with the Real Life Superhero or Supervillain community will cross a dangerous line, spilling over to the realms of Kick-Ass or another slasher film. When it happens, the innocence will be lost, something will rise to meet the challenge and the violence will escalate, catching innocent and guilty people up within it like a blood soaked tornado. Until then, we live our lives as best we can and do. But somewhere, one can't help but wonder if the fantastic, good or bad, would at least alleviate the doldrums and boredom in this pedestrian life we lead. But like those who aspire to be in more interesting lives and times, if you actually experienced the things in the fiction you enjoy in your real lives, if the lines were crossed, the harm done, the realization that this IS happening and you make it out alive, would you feel the same as before? Would someone attacked by a hero or villain who aspired to live such a life change their interests? That is a question for another time.
Oh by the way, try approving my messages next time, unless you're afraid it'll trigger another wave of migraines. Far be it from me to wish to cause you any further pain when it's not intended.

Jigsaw is REAL!??
I'm sure if you're reading this, you're more than a bit perplexed. You're also most likely a fan of the Saw movie series. And I ask the question due to an interesting ad I've seen on Myspace's opening page. Apparently to help promote the final chapter in the series, they've opened a Blogger page featuring the survivors of Jigsaw's attacks as well as a therapist pushing his new book. I mean, it's Blogger. It HAS to be real, right? Everything on the internet is real, correct?
Ah well, see for yourselves. And feel free to browse through some of the survivor's posts, you'll find that Krampus had to revel in the Schadenfreude a bit.

Until next time, enjoy my Creatures of the Night.

Krampus Vs. BlogTalk competition
Here I am, the weekend before Halloween, the time of longer nights, anticipation for candy coated sugar rushes, retrieving the hour of sleep lost at the beginning of Daylight Savings time. Nothing much on the telly except for the occasional bad movie. So I thought, what the hell? I'll check out Meow and Friends for a moment. Then I noticed that the telephone call-in number is absent from the site. Curious. Then, I noticed that there hasn't been any new episodes for several weeks.
Now, I have no idea as to the exact nature of what's going on behind the scenes as to what the reason for the show's hiatus. But it does have me wondering. First Malvado's show, who was attempting to change formats as well as focus, now this. I'm not trying to grind salt into any wounds, but does this mean that, if by someone hypothetically keeping track of a 'contest' between the shows, that Creature Feature has won out of attrition?
If anyone knows if either of the aforementioned shows will be returning in the near future, or if other members of the RLSH/RLSV communities plan on having their own shows, please feel free to alert Krampus and the followers of this blog.
In the interim, The Walking Dead premiers next week. Huzzah for zombies!

Love for Executrix
It is with great sadness that I report that Executrix, my friend and little sister has suffered a loss. Her grandfather passed away tonight after a long battle with ailing health. I am sorry beyond words. For the readers of this blog, despite what side you may be on in this community, show this woman and her family respect and condolences for this loss. It is times like this that I wish I could take away the pain of loss, but this is beyond the power of Krampus.
I will always be there for you. And there's no more pain. Remember that.

Now THIS is a catchy little diddy!
Here I was, preparing for tonight's show, and I came across this little gem by an artist named Cee Lo Green. Ladies and gentlemen, this song has its lyrics in the video, and I can virtually guarantee that some of you will be nodding your head to this catchy, doo-wop song all about venting. I now present to you...Fuck You.
I see you driving 'round town
With the girl i love and i'm like,
Fuck you!
Oo, oo, ooo
I guess the change in my pocket
Wasn't enough i'm like,
Fuck you!
And fuck her too!
I said, if i was richer, i'd still be with ya
Ha, now ain't that some shit? (ain't that some shit?)
And although there's pain in my chest
I still wish you the best with a...
Fuck you!
Oo, oo, ooo
Yeah i'm sorry, i can't afford a ferrari,
But that don't mean i can't get you there.
I guess he's an xbox and i'm more atari,
But the way you play your game ain't fair.
I pity the fool that falls in love with you
(oh shit she's a gold digger)
Well
(just thought you should know nigga)
Ooooooh
I've got some news for you
Yeah go run and tell your little boyfriend
(chorus)
Now i know, that i had to borrow,
Beg and steal and lie and cheat.
Trying to keep ya, trying to please ya.
'Cause being in love with you ass ain't cheap.
I pity the fool that falls in love with you
(oh shit she's a gold digger)
Well
(just thought you should know nigga)
Ooooooh
I've got some news for you
Yeah go run and tell your little boyfriend
(chorus)
Now baby, baby, baby, why d'you wanna wanna hurt me so bad?
(so bad, so bad, so bad)
I tried to tell my mamma but she told me
"this is one for your dad"
(your dad, your dad, your dad)
Uh! Whhhy? Uh! Whhhy? Uh!
Whhhy lady? Oh! I love you oh!
I still love you. Oooh!
(chorus)
